BANDUNG, itb.ac.id--The Governor of West Java gave an award to ITB as a member of the JDIH Institute Integrated with JDIHN in West Java. JDIH is the Legal Documentation and Information Network, a system of joint utilization of laws and regulations and other legal documentation materials in an orderly, integrated and sustainable manner. JDIH is a means of providing legal information services easily, quickly and accurately.
The award was handed by the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, at Sate Building on 3 November 2022. Representing the ITB Rector, the award was received by the Head of the ITB General Administration and Information Bureau, Usep Mulyana, S.Sos., MAP.
In his speech, Uu Ruzhanul stated that public awareness towards the law in West Java has significantly increased. A society being law-conscious is directly proportional to its morals and synonymous with its courtesy. According to him, sharing legal awareness to the People of West Java, along with the increase in public intellectuality, is evidenced by the increasing welfare of the community, economy, HDI, education, health and the awareness law in West Java.
Uu Ruzhanul also emphasized that the award must be used as motivation by West Java regencies/cities to continuously improve the quality of legal awareness in communities.
"Hopefully, the award we received can become the motivation for better direction and encouragement to those who have yet to receive the award."
Uu Ruzhanul proceeded to encourage everyone in maintaining solidarity for the development of West Java, both at the village and provincial scale.
JDIH is an acronym for Legal Documentation and Information Network. ITB is very aware that JDIH is very important and part of the Rector’s commitment. Through ITB JDIH, it is hoped that the digitization of ITB’s legal documents and information can be properly managed to optimally provide legal information and document archives.
ITB’s participation as part of National JDIH is determined based on the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number. M.HH-4. HN.03.08 of 2022 concerning the Determination of Members of the National Legal Documentation and Information Network Integrated with the JDIHN.GO.ID Portal in 2022. It is hoped that with ITB's active participation in the management of JDIH, ITB’s legal functions can be strengthened institutionally and set a good example in building a legal civilization in an institutional environment.
