ITB Won in the event of the National Business Competition

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB students returned incised achievements in one of the national business competition. Competition organized by the Young On Top (YOT) in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Hoshizora Foundation titled "Empowering Youth Through Global Market Market Industries". Tim ITB represented by Fajar Bahari (Electrical Engineering 2012), Muhammad Nur Pratama (Electrical Engineering 2012), and Arfie Nugraha (Electrical Engineering 2012) successfully won the champion 2. Housed in Smartfren Auditorium Friday-Saturday (20-21 / 05 / 16) held the final event. In this competition the participants must provide a solution to a real case that occurred in a social enterprise.

In the preliminary round there are 81 teams signed up for the competition. However, only the best five teams who made it through to the final round and one of them is the ITB team named "Goa". Any team that wants to enter the competition are required to collect the solution of business problems given by the committee. After qualifying for the final stage, the participants further visits to PwC Learning Centre to discuss with the stakeholders of the company. It takes a good analytical skills to find the right solution in solving the problem. Judges at this competition was made up of experts who are experts in social enterprise and finance.

"For a very limited preparation and a little experience, we are quite satisfied," Dawn said in an interview. This proves that the ITB students who only have an engineering background can also compete dikompetisi business. ITB managed to beat its competitors from other universities in Indonesia. University of competing among the University of Indonesia, North Sumatra University, and the University of Diponegoro. In the final presentation, each team was asked to present recommendations right business model for the social enterprise. The recommendations are expected to provide perspective and changes to the business on a social enterprise based on aspects suistainability, local empowerment with consideration of sociology, psychology, politics, and economics, as well as by aspects of division of net profit. ITB victory in the competition at the same time adds to the long list of accomplishments that were achieved by ITB students.
