M2C event consists of two parts, namely The Challenge and Metallurgy Expo. Both events have the same function, but designed with a different concept. The Challenge is a competition of knowledge of metallurgy in the form of a quiz with the creative talent to collaborate various forms of competitions into a single entity, namely the Chal-Problem Solving (solving problems in plant design extraction of metals, such as sheet material and heat balance), Chal-Think Fast and Chal-Analyze (analysis regarding metallurgical industry).
In contrast to The Challenge, Metallurgy Expo consists of an exhibition of works in metallurgy and materials, exhibition posters that bring the latest metallurgical issues, and grand seminar which discussed the metallurgy science and its prospects for the future.
