Oath Taking and Inauguration of 30 New Pharmacists of 2021/2022 Academic Year

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung's School of Pharmacy organized the pharmacists' oath taking and inauguration session for the first semester, the academic year 2021/2022, in the Aula Barat (West Hall) of ITB on Thursday (24/3/2022). In the open session, as many as 30 graduates from the Apothecary Profession Study Program, ITB's School of Pharmacy, underwent the procession with heed.
The session was commenced by the Head Committee of Apothecary Examination, ITB's School of Pharmacy, Prof. apt. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Si., Ph.D. The procession is followed by reciting the apothecary examination sequence report by the Secretary of the Apothecary Examination, apt. Elin Julianti, M.Si.
This year, Gertrud Aknadya Anggira and Kezia Esther Dinda achieved the highest grade point average (GPA) in the current year. The GPA calculation consists of attained academic grades and the institutional apothecary examination result. In addition, Kezia obtained the highest examination score for the first semester exams, while Gertrud achieved the highest national score for the Indonesian national apothecary competence exam.
Afterward, the National Committee of Pharmacy (NCP) took the pharmacists' oath, which mandates the Head Committee of ITB School of Pharmacy's Apothecary Examination. Each pharmacist candidate was to stand along with Prof. I Ketut Adnyana and recite the oath. Members of the clergy also witnessed the oath taking.
The subsequent procession was the handover of the new pharmacists' name list by the Head Apothecary Study Program, apt. Elin Julianti, M.Si., Ph.D., to the Head of the Indonesian Pharmacist Association of West Java, apt. Farhan, M.Farm., and the Head of the Health Office of West Java, represented by the Sub Coordinator of Health Funding and Insurance.
The event is also attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Central Leadership of Pharmacist Alumni Association. "Our message is that all of us are responsible for creating a respectable standing for this beloved profession. We also hope as fellow pharmacists; that our peers will actively contribute to the Association at all levels."
Another warm greeting by the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Ir. I Gede Wenten, M.Sc., Ph.D., as he wished well on the carrying out of duties and encouraged continuous creation, in line with the noble tradition of the pharmacist profession. We sincerely hope that all graduates and new pharmacists are always of exemplary service to society.
