AISC is a short-term student exchange program aimed at fostering knowledge among students from various universities that are members of the AUN. This year, AISC adopted the theme "Integrated Sustainability for Thriving Communities."

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Widjaja Martokusumo, Secretary of ITB, stated that the AISC event was very lively and provided valuable experiences for the participants.

"The foreign students I met gave very positive feedback. They were happy and impressed with the activities organized. Some even mentioned that they didn't expect Indonesian students to be so friendly and open," he said.

He also emphasized the important role of ITB in the AUN network. ITB is considered to have a significant contribution to the development of AUN programs, including AISC.

"ITB is one of the leading universities in ASEAN and plays an important role in the AUN network. The success of the AUN Summer Camp 2024 proves that ITB can be a good host and organize international events with high quality," he said.

Prof. Widjaja also expressed his appreciation to all parties who contributed to the organization of AISC 2024. "I would like to thank everyone who worked hard to make this event a success. I hope AISC can continue to be a beneficial event for the participants and further strengthen cooperation between universities in the ASEAN region," he said.

At AISC 2024, three sub-themes were discussed: Sustainable City and Transportation, Sustainable Bioresources Utilization and Management, and Sustainable Natural Resources Utilization and Management.

The first sub-theme, Sustainable City and Transportation, examined sustainable urban development and transportation from a multidisciplinary perspective. Participants learned about sustainable mobility options, the sociocultural dimensions of sustainable urbanism, and the importance of holistic city planning.

The second sub-theme, Sustainable Bioresources Utilization and Management, focused on the important role of natural products in the cosmetic industry. This included bioprospecting, sustainable utilization, and processing of natural products. Participants also had the opportunity to visit field and industrial sites.

The third sub-theme, Sustainable Natural Resources Utilization and Management, encouraged participants to recognize the potential of resources in ASEAN. There were also discussions on the utilization of various resources in ASEAN.
The results of the discussions on these three sub-themes were presented in posters exhibited at the Soemardja Gallery, which could also be enjoyed by visitors and the general public.
