SBM ITB: AstaLaVista Team Wins Awards L'Oreal E-Strat Challenge 2009

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The world level achievement once again achieved by ITB academicians. It was Wednesday (22/4/2009), Paris time, AstaLaVista Team, MBA School of Business and Management ITB successfully achieved the third place champion of prestigious international competition in L'Oreal e-Strat Challenge 2009. Team of Adhi Yudho Wibowo, Indri Damayanti, and Yayang Aditya, the three are MBA ITB students, sharing the position in third place with the host team, INSEAD.
First and Second Champion achieved by University of International Business and Economics, China, and the Bilkent Team from University of Turkey.
"AstaLaVista team successfully gave the depth impression the the jury that their presentation is very good, especially in terms of strategy," said guidance of MBA ITB team, FDV Wulansari, as cited from detikbandung.
In the final round, AstaLaVista ITB compete with finalist teams MBA comes from Denmark, the United States, Italy, and Argentina. Previously, a team guidance by FDV Wulansari, Agung Yoga Sembada, Benny S. Gunawan, and Yafis AFI is the best team in the South Asia Zone , Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, leading the delegation from Singapore and India.
AstaLaVista team Success was because a full support from SBM ITB. P Teddy Rachmat (alumni ITB), Daya Adira, ITB Alumni Association, and the Government of Kendari, were funding the team participation.
Maintain the Tradition
The success of the ITB team at the final of international L'Oreal E-Strat Challenge has been such a tradition, started by a team of MBA ITB that became a finalist in the year of 2006. Year of 2008, ITB achieved the world record with 4 awards altogether. A year earlier, the ITB Rajawali team successfully awarded Best SPI 3 and the third International Champion.
L'Oreal E-Strat, now entering 8th year, was attended by 221,000 students from 2,200 universities representing 128 countries. Participants compete through a software as interface which connected with central server e-Strat to submits the business decisions of their virtual company such as marketing budget, the amount of production, and initiation of CSR program.
