Strengthen the Relation Between Neighboring Countries, ITB Dormitory Held Virtual Education Tour

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Dormitory held a virtual education tour with neighboring countries on Saturday, 27th February 2021. Under the theme “Building a Relation and Exchange an Impression”, the event was intended to keep the association that once tied between the three campus from Malaysia and Singapore, which are International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), University Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
ITB Dormitory Virtual Education Tour activity opened by acceptance speech from Representative of Directorate of Student Affairs ITB, Nenden Rina Ratnakomala S.T., M.T., as the Head of Sub-directorate of Welfare and Character Development. In her speech, she said that this program could be an approach to exchange information for tutors and college students, especially ITB dormitory residents.
She also hoped that this event could introduce ITB and its dormitory to international college student, vice versa. College student development which done in ITB dormitory environment has made the dorm to be the very important part of coaching college student, especially KIP-K student and ITB affirmation.
In his acceptance speech, Syaiful Khoirisin, S.H., as the Head of Sub-directorate of Infrastructure Empowerment and Public Services explained that during pandemic, KIP-K college student and ITB Affirmation could not stay in the dorm, which make this kind of activity could be beneficial to funnel coaching values, also giving an overview of more innovative activity.
ITB Dormitory Virtual Education Tour continues with introducing Institut Teknologi Bandung profile along with the coaching activities in ITB dormitory by Eunico Victor (Mechanical Engineering, 2017) as the Main Coordinator of ITB Dormitory Tutor. The event continues with explanation from representative of International Islamic University of Malaysia which also include testimony from Indonesian college student who studies there. After that, Pelajar Indonesia NTU (PINTU) filled the agenda with explanation about culture and information of Nanyang Technological University. They also talk about educational system in Singapore, especially NTU.
The event continues with sharing session between several college student representative of Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail University Putra Malaysia (KTDI UPM). Tutors and dorm boarders follow this session enthusiastically considering how they have asked a lot of questions. This virtual activity which must be participated by all ITB Dormitory Tutor could also streamed online by public on Asrama ITB YouTube channel.
