1415 Students Graduated, ITB Held A Graduation Open Session

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - On Saturday (12/07/14), held at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) ITB, in 1415 a number of students who have completed their education at ITB followed  The Open Session of Third Graduation Academic Year 2013/2014 . Graduates consisted of 899 undergraduate students (S1), 494 graduate student (S2), and 22 doctoral students (S3). Of these, 433 students graduated cum laude. Procession open session was attended by ITB rector, deans, faculty, students and parents ITB advisory board, including the institutions that cooperate with ITB.

Open session began with a sing Indonesia Raya and Mengheningkan Cipta. Then proceed with the appointment decision was followed by the inauguration of graduates and PhD / Masters / Bachelor of State and sing Bagimu Negeri song. This was followed by the speech of the rector and representative graduates adieu. Lastly, open session was closed with a prayer.


ITB Rector, Prof. Dr. Akhmaloka delivered his speech on "The Role of Graduate As Entrepreneurs". Akhmaloka emphasized that the students who have passed is one form of accountability to the ITB Indonesia nation. The ITB graduates must have social competence, one of which is capable of being an entrepreneur. "The key for an entrepreneur is pursuing opportunities to realize improvement. To be an entrepreneur, a scholar of science and technology should always be open, willing to engage in dialogue and interaction with the community as well as perform a variety of learning through interaction and dialogue" Akhmaloka said.

End of his speech, Akhmaloka read awards which is achieved by the entire academic community ITB in the period April 2014 to July 2014. These awards obtained both nationally and internationally. Achievement is presented in open court, not only academic achievement, but also non-academic achievement as some of the achievements that have been achieved by ITB Student Activity Unit.


Furthermore, Lukki Priantomo Raharjo (Marine Engineering 2009) as representative of the graduates expressed parting words. Lukki expressed gratitude and appreciation to the entire academic community ITB. Lukki also advised that we continue to struggle in their studies and were able to reach the dreams that we have. "Hopefully what we will go later will always mean to you, to God, the nation and the alma mater" Lukki lid.
