1,630 New Students Have Passed SNMPTN ITB 2021

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) welcomed 1,630 new undergraduate students through the National Selection for State University (SNMPTN). Several faculties/schools in ITB have accepted more than 150 new students, namely STEI ITB (195 people), FMIPA ITB (166 people), and FTTM ITB (172 people, both for the Ganeca and Cirebon Kampus). "To our new students, I congratulate you on your success," said the Vice-Rector of Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring, M.Eng., Monday (22/3/2021). Prof. Jaka added that students from West Java, DKI Jakarta, Banten, Central Java, and East Java had dominated the SNMPTN quota. Students can view the SNMPTN result on https://snmptn.itb.ac.id and https://minat.itb.ac.id for those who registered in Jalur Peminatan ITB.


In SNMPTN 2021, 10,637 participants have applied ITB, and 984 applicants registered with the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP). "Only 142 KIP students get accepted based on their academic quality," continued Prof. Jaka.

Prof. Jaka explained that ITB provides financial relaxation for underprivileged students to pay the tuition fee (UKT). "There will be 20% of undergraduate students who gets the UKT exemption," he said.

Apart from SNMPTN, ITB also accepts students through the Joint Entrance Test for State University (SBMPTN) and ITB Independent Selection (SM-ITB) for students who want to join international classes.

ITB had established Cirebon Campus, a particular approach to develop and increase human resources in the Cirebon, Indramayu, Kuningan, and other surroundings. "Our campus always tries to recruit students from all provinces in Indonesia through various existing schemes," added Prof. Jaka.
