Asahikawa-Bandung Design Exchange: Enhancing International City Cooperation as UCCN Members

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – "Asahikawa-Bandung Design Exchange" is the collaboration event of Bandung Creative City Forum (BCCF), West Java Innovation Creative Economy Committee (Kreasi), Bandung Design Collective (BDK), Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN), and Design Center Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Institut Teknologi Bandung (FAD ITB). It was held at the FAD ITB Design Center, Center of Art, Design and Language (CADL) Building on Monday (08/01/2024).
This event involved a discussion with the Focal Point Asahikawa City of Design UCCN to further explore collaboration opportunities between Ahasikawa and Bandung as fellow members of the network.
This event presented three speakers, namely Ryoju Hamada, Ph.D. (Professor of National Institute of Technology Asahikawa College, Senior Advisor at Asahikawa Focal Point), Dr. Dwinita Larasati, S.Sn., M.A., (Focal Point Bandung City of Design UCCN, also a lecturer and researcher from FAD ITB), and Adi Panuntun, M.A. (General Chairman of BCCF and founder of Sembilan Matahari).
The event was attended by creative entrepreneurs in the city of Bandung from various business fields.
This event is part of a series aimed at increasing collaboration opportunities between the City of Asahikawa, Japan, and the city of Bandung, Indonesia as UCCN Design cities.
Dr. Dwinita Larasati, S.Sn., M.A., mentioned that this activity marks the first step to increasing international cooperation opportunities for creative entrepreneurs in the city of Bandung.
"By conducting this event, it is hoped that in the future the city of Bandung will become a hub for creative professionals and will provide international collaboration between Asahikawa, Japan, and Bandung, Indonesia," he stated.
