BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Holding the status as a State Higher Education Institution of Incorporated Legal Entity or Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum (PTN BH), ITB is required to have its fund management in supporting the continuity of education on campus.

To support the mission accomplishment of transforming ITB to become ITB Enterprise 2025, the Business Management Agency and Sustainable Fund (BPUDL) held a talk show entitled "Business Visioning: Business Transformation of Commercial Business Units in Support of ITB Independence," which was held offline at Sheraton Hotel Bandung on Saturday (11/27/2021).
There are three sessions with each different topic for the talk show series. All deans from all faculties and schools in ITB and representatives of business units that actively support the running of the ITB business ecosystem attend the talk show.

"We hope that all business units in ITB in the future can synergize in building a business ecosystem together by always putting forward good discussion and communication," said Deddy Priatmodjo Koesrindartoto, Ph.D. as Head of BPUDL, who also participated in several sessions in his opening remarks.
The first session with the topic "Building a Business Ecosystem in College" is moderated by Director of PT LAPI ITB Muhammad Hariyadi Setiawan. This session further explored the main issues of the campus's most significant obstacles in building a qualified and balanced ecosystem between academia and commercial and reviewed what can be considered an investment in the near term.

"All faculties can use the presence of BPUDL to maximize the effort by using it as a spearhead that can reach and provide access for all businesses and accommodate the latest innovation work," said Ery Yunasri as EYP / BPUDL Legal Consultant. In addition to Ery Yunasri, the first session was also presented by the President Commissioner of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Rinaldi Firmansyah and also rector of ITB Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D.

According to BPUDL data statistics, sustainable funds owned by ITB are still ranked highest compared to other PTN-BH in Indonesia. However, the issue of majority ownership management is still a big problem when the performance of venture or minority subsidiaries is still difficult to compete in internal ITB. The second session raised this case on the "Road Map of ITB Commercial Business Unit."

"BPUDL here comes as a core enterprise for business units in ITB in solving problems because so far ITB has not used a convergent approach that can narrow the main purpose of the business unit so that it can synergize together," said PPT Commissioner of RII Gilarsi Wahyu Setijono who was one of the speakers in the second session. In addition to presenting Rinaldi Firmansyah back as a speaker, this second session also invited the Executive Director of PT Ernst &Young, Bernardus Djonoputro, to discuss together.

The closing session, which was moderated directly by BPUDL secretary Ahmad Faizal, also invited Gilarsi Wahyu Setijono, Bernardus Djonoputro, and Yusmar Anggadinata, who is the President Director of PT LAPI ITB. Bringing the topic "Post-Covid-19 Postpartum Business Transformation," BPUDL invites business unit owners to create novelty and new ecosystems by paying attention to megatrends that can be the first step to move in the pandemic period. The talk show lasted for approximately 4 hours ended with a speech of encouragement and optimism from the Rector of ITB to build a good communication environment between academics and commercial along with BPUDL in the future.
