Building Cooperation in the Field of Tri Dharma University, ITB and Sesko TNI Signed an MoU

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB had authorized a cooperation with the School of Staff and Command (Sesko) TNI through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding. The signing was held on Tuesday (08/03/16) at the Leaders' Meeting Room A, ITB Rectorate Building and represented by the ITB Rector, Prof. Kadarsah Suryadi and Sesko TNI Commander, Lt. Gen. Agus Sutomo, S. E.
Lt. Gen. Agus Sutomo said that this cooperation was aimed for exchanging mutual added value to the quality of human resources. "Both ITB and Sesko TNI is a part of the government to prepare a cadre of nation's future leaders, especially in facing the challenges nowadays," he said. He also added that outstanding human resources will increase Indonesia's competitiveness in the international arena. Indonesian youth today who would hold Indonesia Gold in the future is a shared responsibility, in particular for ITB and Sesko TNI which engaged in education. Lt. Gen. Agus Sutomo also stated that mutual support was also needed in this partnership by preparing young people who are vigilant, analitical, and responsive to the environment.

Prof. Kadarsah also delivered ITB achievement in implementing the Tri Dharma University, in teaching, research, and community service. Various innovations coming from ITB and can be applied directly to help the community. In this partnership, Kadarsah invited Sesko TNI to do the lab tour to Cyber Security Building in ITB Jatinangor and to cooperate in research. "There are many challenges that we can respond together. Thus, it is necessary to synergize," said Kadarsah which also agreed about the challenges in the information age was like a proxy war. "In ITB, we also prepare students with 4R: ratio, body (raga), sense (rasa), and religion as a human being prepared in the future," Kadarsah concluded.

The MoU was expected to enhance the implementation of the tasks and functions of each of the party in accordance with their authority. Cooperation would be valid for five years and cover the implementation and development activities to improve the competence of human resources, education and training, scientific activities, seminars, workshops, community services, as well as the implementation of assessment and consultation.
