After opened by Dr. Imam Santosa, M. Sn., Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) ITB, the event entered the plenary session. In the event entitled , the speaker presents various topics ranging from the history of craft in different countries, the trend of materials used today, the influence of the ancestral cultural heritage, to recycling technology as an alternative craft materials. The kinds of craft being introduced at this time ITCC is also very diverse, ranging from inspired by deep sea biota to using microorganisms as the giver of the motif of the fabric, ranging from the influence of the cultural heritage of Batak, Sumba up to villages in traditional India. ITCC became a very interesting event and a rich treasure for lovers of art textiles and clothing.
ITCC itself is a biennial event held beginning in 2011. ITCC is the form of a collaboration between the University of Leeds, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Costume Culture Association of Korea, Marmara University, and Kasetsart University. ITCC is a place for developing knowledge related the world textiles and clothing, with hopes of participation from various countries will be growing every year. Textiles are no longer a subject in its own right, but rather an increasingly multidisciplinary. Not only the cooperation of various countries is expected, but also collaboration with a variety of other disciplines such as biology, chemistry even nano-technology will be essential to the progress of the world is textiles.
