BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - "Indonesia has an outstanding potential, and this can be developed through researches," Prof. Dr. F.G. Winarno, a professor in Food Technology, stated in the socialization event for Indofoof Research Awards 2011 held 10/02/2011. The event provided several inputs and suggestions for participants to ease them in acquiring research grants.
In his elaboration, Winarno stated that a person seeking success would need to have the will to dream, including the will to start working on a research. "We'll get nowhere without dreaming," he exclaimed.

Putting Honesty First

To initiate a proposal, Winarno suggested reviewing previous titles that have won. After finding the right title, the researches can directly search for necessary literatures. "Create something new and original. Choose a reputable guide lecturer."

And then, the researches can start constructing the proposal. According to Winarno, honesty is the most important trait every researcher must have. "Stay away from plagiarism," he warned. "Don't hurry things up. Ask for opinions," he added.
