BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The Student Board of Institut Teknologi Bandung held its annual event Aku Masuk ITB (AMI) 2025. Carrying the theme “Harmony in Diversity”, it is hoped that this event can be a driving force that promotes unity while spreading the spirit of higher education among high school students across Indonesia, regardless of their backgrounds.
One of the highlights of the event, ITB Day, took place at the Ganesha Campus on Saturday (22/2/2025). Attended by more than 12.000 visitors, the event began with an opening ceremony and speeches from multiple figures, namely Fidela Marwa Huwaida as the Head of ITB’s Student Board, Vallery A. Raditya as the Project Officer of AMI 2025, and Dr. Epin Saepudin, M.Pd. as a representative of ITB’s Directorate of Student Affairs. Other than that, the opening also featured a traditional dance performance titled Teratai Kasih by the Riau Malay Culture Unit and a cheer performance by the campus and lab tour committee members.
Moreover, multiple sub-events were held in parallel, including the Campus and Laboratory Tours, Talkshows, AMI Cinema, HMPS Fair, and AMI’s Carnivals, and concluded with a parade as well as a closing ceremony.
To introduce the atmosphere and layout of ITB’s Ganesha Campus, participants were invited to go on a tour of the campus and laboratories with the committee’s guidance. The Campus and Laboratory Tours were categorized by scientific fields, such as mechanics, construction and infrastructure, industry and management, arts and design, electronics, science and pharmacy, energy, and mineral resources. This categorization was aimed at helping participants better understand the facilities relevant to their interests and academic aspirations.
Other than the tour, participants can gain more information about the programs they are interested in through the HMPS Fair located in the parking lot of the SBM ITB Building. This sub-event showcased academic and non-academic insights through booths run by various Student Associations from different study programs.
Meanwhile, an inspiring talk show was held in two sessions at the SBM ITB Auditorium. The first session focused on the journey of pursuing higher education and unlocking new opportunities, while the second session discussed the crucial role of higher education in shaping Indonesia’s golden generation for 2045.
Elsewhere, in the Eastern part of the Campus Center (CC) Auditorium, short films by the ITB Student Film League were screened. There were several screening sessions with 3 to 4 short films in each session, including “Nirwana", "Memoranda", "Warisan Terbaik", "Greatest Capture", "Kembali Berjuang", and "Grief-ish.
To unwind, visitors enjoyed a variety of exciting traditional games through AMI’s Carnival at the PLN Field, including Harmony Quest, Rhapsody Launcher, Tunes in Can, Marble Crescendo, Note Scotch, and Treasure Hunt
The parade, which aimed to introduce the various units available in ITB, was also very lively. Many student organizations, such as the Javanese Traditional Dance and Orchestra Group, Aceh Cultural Unit, Minangkabau Arts Unit, Lampung Cultural Unit, North Sumatra Arts Unit, Japanese Cultural Unit, and the Korean Culture Club, enthusiastically participated and added color to the diversity in this parade.
The event closed with a final ceremony featuring performances by TPB FAD 24, PSTK, MTI Band, and OSD HMT-ITB. One of the visitors who attended the entire series of ITB Day AMI 2025 expressed deep gratitude for their experience. “Even though it was really tiring from morning till afternoon, I had a lot of fun and hope to join AMI again next year, but as a committee member,” they said.
