ITB Give Appreciation to Donors and Sponsors Student

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The scholarship programs and student activities at ITB cannot run without the help of donors and sponsors , including from the government, partners, or ITB itself. Therefore, in order to strengthen the relationship with the partner of ITB, The Student Foundation (LK) ITB held "ITB Scholarship and Sponsorship Gathering" on Friday (21/03/14). The event was held at Aston Primera Pasteur Hotel which was also intended to appreciate those who have contributed in a variety of student programs at ITB.
This annual event was opened by the Anakkon Hi Do Hamonom Di Ahu dance performance presented by  North Sumatra Unit of Art (UKSU) ITB . After that, it was followed by the remarks from Dr. Eng. Sandro Mihradi as the chairman of the steering committee. In his speech, Sandro revealed that in 2013 the ITB has been managing a scholarship donation of more than 147 billion dollars to as much as 10,112 students of ITB. In addition during the last year, there were approximately 400 student activities made it possible through the sponsorship of nearly 8 billion dollars from various sponsors.

Then the show was followed by a welcome Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi . The story of student testimonials ITB National Gathering Shutter Mission in Jakarta delivered by Prof. Kadarsah to emphasize the importance of the scholarship donors in realizing one's dreams for college. More importantly through that scholarship, recipients are expected to uphold the red-white flag highest.

A video about the scholarship activities that have been implemented during 2013 LK ITB started the session presentations and discussions presented again by Dr. Eng. Sandro Mihradi. Presentations related scholarships and sponsorships for the year 2013 has also been summarized in the book "ITB Scholarship Profile 2013" and was distributed to each invited guest as LK ITB accountability report . Furthermore, representatives of donors that draw J. Mangkunto, CEO of Bakrie Center Foundation, opened the discussion. The draw conveyed the appeal that also allocates S1 S2 besides scholarships to increase the competitive advantage of Indonesia.

After the question and answer session is done, some of the scholars gave testimonials and thanks to the donors. "Through the scholarship, students can focus on learning. No need to be concerned about the cost of living and eating," Andika said, Geodesy and Geomatics student class of 2010 scholarship recipients and BCA Final. Then, ITB Student Orchestra (ISO) went to the stage to entertain the guests. Towards the end of the event, any sponsors and donors receive certification as well as an appreciation plaque to LK ITB ITB partner.

Bidikmisi Inspiration Book Launch

In addition to the appreciation of the ITB partner, this event launched the book contained Bidik Misi scholars' inspiring stories initiated by LK ITB. The book entitled "Dare to Dream Dare to Act" which was a collection of 16 stories of struggle in the ITB students to achieve goals even when they were in the middle of the limitations and obstacles. Symbolically, the launch was marked by a charter granting awards to the authors whose work goes into this book. There were about 2000 books printed that will be distributed free of charge to high school students in Indonesia. Hopefully, this book would provide inspiration in order to be brave dreaming and reaching the highest goal.
