ITB Signed Memorandum of Understanding with The Government of Pangkalpinang

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Tuesday (01/12/15), ITB officially in cooperation with the Pangkalpinang City through the signing of the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding, MoU) by ITB Rector, Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA. and Mayor Pangkalpinang, M. Irwansyah, S.Sos, M.Sc. Symbolic ceremony conducted in Meeting Room A of this Annex Building ITB initiated the establishment of formal cooperation in the field of implementation of the Tri Dharma College. The occasion was also attended Dr. Miming Miharja as Vice Rector for General Administration, Alumni, and Communications; Dr. Firmansyah as Deputy Director of the Partnership; Prof. Widjaja, Dean of the Sekolah Arsitektur, Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Kebijakan (SAPPK) ITB, and the Head of Intercity Pangkalpinang.

In accordance with the vision and mission of the City of Pangkalpinang the development over time, efforts to accelerate development in all fields continued. The development includes an increase in basic infrastructure in all regions, human resources, and open green spaces. Besides aiming to improve the quality of the environment, increased done to boost economic growth to improve competitiveness particularly in Sumatra. "Pangkalpinang is the center of the tin. Now we're in full swing to accelerate the city faces in the field of tourism," Mayor Pangkalpinang said. This movement also got a boost from Tim Urbane managed by the mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil. One of the great things that will be implemented is the construction of the Green Hospital.


ITB rector responded to this cooperation with open arms. According to him, steps to cultivate the field of tourism is a progressive step because, to quote from the Minister of Tourism, tourism will be a major source of foreign exchange for the country. Follow up of this MoU is an activity studio landscape architecture and design of urban areas in SAPPK on Tuesday (08/12/2015) coming together with the University of Florida who will travel directly to Pangkalpinang.


"ITB is not only for ITB, but also for the nation, especially for Pangkalpinang," Rector of ITB said. Pangkalpinang government hopes that this cooperation can provide more opportunities for the Government Center to focus on implementing the vision and mission in order to organize the city with better again.
