BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — The Korean Culture Club (KCC), one of the culture clubs available to students at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), hosted "Halzone," an event featuring various cultural activities and experiences associated with Korean culture on Sunday (17/09/2023).
Prof. Ir. Johnner Sitompul, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Club Advisor for KCC ITB, emphasized the importance of understanding and appreciating cultural diversity worldwide, including Korean culture, during the event.
Additionally, Kirana Arundati (Chemical Engineering, 2021), the Head of KCC ITB, outlined the event's agenda, which included a cultural show by KCC ITB members, a sing and dance cover by the audience, and a special performance by Hallyu UPI, another Korean-based cultural club from students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI).
This on-site event marked its first opening to the public since the pandemic. KCC ITB aims to strengthen relationships among students and introduce Korean culture to a broader community.
Alongside the Korean Culture Show, the event featured several other activities. These included an accessory-making workshop for visitors to create their bead accessories. Korean street food and beverage stands, merchandise stalls, mini-games, and a hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) rental stand were also available. The main objective was to provide a memorable cultural experience for the general audience.
