BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The socialization event held by McKinsey & Company took place at the Institut Teknologi Bandung on Friday (22/3/2024). Participants were provided with a comprehensive overview of the consulting world, starting with the role of Consulting Analyst at McKinsey.

The event covered a wide range of topics, from the application process and the working atmosphere within the company to the benefits that participants will gain during the program, as well as information about the overall program schedule.

The Consulting Analyst Program serves as the starting point for a career as a professional consultant at McKinsey. Candidates who join McKinsey become part of various teams tasked with assisting leading organizations worldwide, spanning the private, public, and social sectors. In their role as consulting analysts, participants collaborate with a range of experts, from data scientists to software designers.

The consulting analysts are actively involved in all aspects of client projects, including information gathering and analysis, hypothesis development and testing, as well as the preparation and delivery of recommendations to clients. Additionally, they receive comprehensive training and regular guidance from team colleagues.

The event was greeted with high enthusiasm from participants, including undergraduate and graduate students, who actively asked about the Consulting Analyst program that will be conducted. Participants were open in expressing their interest in the program and their desire to learn the concrete steps to join.

The challenges faced by Indonesian graduates in entering the professional consulting world were also a major topic of discussion. The lack of relevant work experience and academic aspects were the primary concerns. However, through this socialization event, attending students could gain a better understanding of the recruitment process.

This event not only served as an information forum but also as an important initial step for participants to embark on their journey towards success as professional consultants in the world. By providing direct insights into this program and through in-depth discussions about the challenges faced by Indonesian graduates, this event opened opportunities for participants to explore the world of professional consulting more effectively.
