BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — Musik Petang (Mustang) is a regular music program initiated by ITB’s Unit Kesenian Apresiasi (Apres). In its latest edition, Apres collaborated with ITB Jazz for an event held at the ITB Boulevard area on Friday (24/4/2026).

The event was organized as an effort to enliven the campus atmosphere through artistic activities that are open and closely connected to students.

Chair of the event committee, Farad Dharmawan, said that the program received support from the campus to bring musical performances back into the ITB environment, especially in the late afternoon leading into the evening.

“In the past, before the pandemic, similar activities were regularly organized by Apres, but they had to stop because of restrictions on offline activities,” he said.

Since returning in 2025, Musik Petang has consistently been held on the last Friday of every month. The program has become one of the ways to rebuild the artistic atmosphere on campus while also providing a space for student expression through performances.

According to Farad, small-scale music events such as Musik Petang play an important role in rebuilding the arts ecosystem on campus. He added that music activities at ITB have considerable potential and can become an important part of enriching campus life.

“Music activities at ITB have great potential to enrich campus life,” he said.

As the next agenda, the public is invited to attend the main Mustang event, which will be held on 23 May 2026 at Lapangan Cinta ITB.
