That's the underlying, one of the ITB alumni Nurhayati Subakat (Pharmacy 1971) to develop a halal cosmetics for Muslim women.
Nurhayati was ITB alumni were able to get out of their comfort zone to pursue a career as a businessman. Nurhayati cosmetic products used to merely offer home products door to door. However, due to the persistence and hard work Nurhayati successfully market its products to date into a flagship product for women, especially Muslim women. Businesses that already they do since 1985 was not without difficulty, "It was difficult because there anyway to label halal cosmetics, was suspected of selling religion. But clearly label halal idea that originally came from the boarding school," said Nurhayati as reported by one of the digital site. Husband of Subakat (Chemistry 1968) was successfully established PT Paragon Technology & Innovation (Wardah Cosmetics). Currently, PTI already has 2 factories located in Tangerang Cibodas and with 4,500 employees in Indonesia.
Women born in Padang Panjang, West Sumatra, began a career as a pharmacist at the General Hospital in Padang.
