BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Architecture Study Program of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) hosted the ATRIA Architectural Design Exhibition 2024. Additionally, works by ITB Architecture lecturers and alumni are also on display. The exhibited works include final projects, theses, competition-winning designs, and curated studio projects.

This year, ATRIA adopts the theme "Humanizing Humans Through Architecture." The chairperson of the ATRIA committee, Rr. Diah Asih Purwaningrum, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., emphasized that architecture is inseparable from human activities and that every individual has unique spatial needs.

She explained that the exhibition aims to demonstrate how architecture contributes to solving issues closely related to human life. Each work exhibited reflects the current era's approach to accommodating various human needs through thoughtfully designed buildings.

According to her, one of the challenges in preparing this exhibition was the curation process. Due to the large number of submissions, several stages of selection were necessary to identify the best works in each category.

The exhibition is hoped to serve as a foundation for further discussions on issues related to architecture. It is also a reminder that the primary consideration in designing a building should always be human needs.
