SAPPD ITB Introduces International Architecture and Planning Study Programs

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — ITB School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development (SAPPD) held an open house to introduce the international study programs offered by SAPPD at all degree levels; undergraduate degree, master’s degree, and doctoral degree. This event was held at 3 different times and places; Bandung on 28 June 2022, Jakarta on 25 June 2022, and via online on 2 July 2022.

The international study programs offered included Undergraduate Programs in Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning, Master’s Programs in Urban Regional Planning, Transportation, Tourism Planning, and Development Studies, and Doctoral Programs in Transportation, and Urban and Regional Planning. SAPPD ITB collaborates with other world class universities as partners in this programs, such as MIT, The University of Melbourne, RMIT University, Monash University, Sheffield University, Seoul University, University of Groningen, Ritsumeikan University, University of Miyazaki, University of Twente, Yamaguchi University, University of Florida, University of Hawai’i, Keio University, and Hiroshima University.

This event first started with a Urban and Regional Planning video showing which was then continued with an explanation session, a question and answer session, then alumni sharing. The participants of this open house were high school students from the Bandung and Jakarta area. Due to that, an online open house was held so this program can be introduced to potential students situated in areas other than Bandung and Jakarta. The speakers of this open house came from two study programs; Dr. Adiwan Fahlan Aritenang, Dr. Bagas Dwipantara Putra, Dr. Suhirman, and Dr. Alhilal Furqon from Urban and Regional Planning, and Dr. Widiyani and Dr. Rr. Diah Asih Purwaningrum from Architecture.

This open house is hoped to be an effort to introduce the international study programs from SAPPD and also attract potential students so that the internationalization of SAPPD education can be achieved optimally.
