Dagominton ITB Will Represent Indonesia at ABU Robocon Internaninal Robotic Contest 2015

ABU Robocon is an annual international robotic competition which is followed by by Asia-Pacific students. Accordance to a theme brought by committee, Robominton, URO ITB invented a robot, called Dagominton. It has sophisticated specification, with service robot and attack robot type. Service robot has an ability to perform low service and hull service, completed by two additional rackets which are used to return ball netting, using transmission timing belt and three-wheel motorcycles and other types omniwheel. Attack robot is similar to service robot. The difference is on transmission, which is attack robot use coupling and 4 motor with omniwheel.
Championship Is Not Only A Trophy
In Indonesian Robotic Contest 2015 Regional Level held on Thursday-Saturday (23-25/04/15), ITB Robotics Unit sent five teams to follow all of five categories. They are Dagominton Team on category Indonesia Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Robotic Contest Indonesia, Chakra Ganesha Team on category Indonesian Wheeled-Fire Extinguisher Robotic Contest (KRPAI), Viva La Ganesha Team on legged-KRPAI category, Dago Hoogheschool Team on Indonesian Soccer Robotic Contest (KRSBI) category, and Dago Concordia Team on Indonesian Dance Robot Contest (KRSI) category. In that competition, ITB won three championship on KRAI, KRSI, and KRSBI category. ITB also granted two awards, The Best Algorithm Robot for wheeled-KRPAI categories and The Best Dance Robot for KRSI category. It made ITB was the only university that can pass its whole team to National Level.
At national level competition which occur competitively, ITB finally won for KRAI category. It is a new record after ITB 'has slept' for a long time. For its victory, Dagominton will struggle for more competitive match at international level, ABU Robocon, as Indonesian representation. "We believe that effort, discipline, and teamwork will bring Dagominton as a winner at ABU Robocon 2015," Eko said, as a Dagominton Project Leader.
