Harmonization of Balinese Culture Night Performances Maha Dwipa MGG ITB

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id-Cultural unit Maha Gotra Ganesha ITB (MGG ITB) held the Night performances in order Anniversary XLIII. Performances that lift theme Maha Dwipa were able to amaze the audience with a magnificent stage and captivating choreography. This show held on Sunday, (17/11/14) in Dago Tea House, Bandung.
Before deploying the evening peak which contains drama and dance performances, Anniversary XLIII MGG ITB also conducted pre-event form of Balinese Dance Festival 18th. The festival was held on Friday-Saturday (07-09 / 11/14) in Sabuga and East Hall ITB. The festival was able to include 219 participants from outside the area bali namely Java and Lampung. The festival presents a variety of traditional Balinese dance like Dance Paradise, Manukrawa Dance, Oleg Tamulilingan Dance. The festival finally issued Telkom's Studio and Studio Asmarandana as the overall winner.
At night performances Anniversary XLIII MGG ITB, presented a ballet about the story of Kebo Iwa. Maha Patih Kebo Iwa from Kingdom of Bali and Patih Gadjah Mada from Majapahit Kingdom is the main character who filled the narrative performances Maha Dwipa. It told the story of sacrifice and courage of Maha Patih Kebo Iwa who gives herself to Patih Gadjah Mada for the unity of the archipelago.
The Night performances involving approximately 60 artists not only from MGG ITB but also other cultural units such as North Sumatra Culture Unit, Unit South Sulawesi Culture and Society Dance and Karawitan ITB. Dances are displayed in a series of dance in ballet Kebo Iwa archipelago. The colaboration is what makes this night performances different than the previous night performances. And the involvement of young koreagrafer Adi Saputra that resembled night performances became so attractive.
Events held approximately 1.5 hours is able to bring the audience into the story, so it can feel the atmosphere of Bali completely. Although it was rain, not leach audiences spirit to follow the course of performance. Not infrequently, the actors who appear do jokes that make the audience laugh during play storyline. It is also supported by a magnificent stage, lighting interesting, and energetic gestures. Involving more than 40 dancers and accompanied Sekaa Gong Maha Gotra Ganesha able to present concepts and interesting. By convening this event, MGG ITB always look forward to continuing to present harmony of the piece of music, dance, and ballet beautiful collaboration to the Indonesian people annually.
