Dr. Ayu who was former Chairman of Informatics Engineering Student Association (HMIF) proposed a paper titled "Continuous Improvement to Become Study Program with International Quality". That paper then was presented in the Outstanding Head of Study Program National election. Continuous improvement was emphasized by Dr. Ayu and had been applied by Informatics Engineering. This improvement continued to be activated along with the times changes and the demands of international community to college graduates. The improvements that have been and are being conducted are: 1) Achievement in student outcome both of hard skill and soft skill, 2) Quality of Practice Lecture and Final Project, 3) Facilities, and 4) Collaboration with the stakeholders.

Dr. Ayu realized that Informatics Engineering graduates will face bigger challenge in the future that is ASEAN Economic Community 2015. The competition will be tighter that is resulted by the competition in their own country will become an international level.  Dr. Ayu formulated a solution proposed that is international accreditation. International accreditation can be obtained from official institution that is authorized by relevant government. Informatics Engineering has obtained official accreditation from ABET, a non-commercial institution from United States. Dr. Ayu recognized that the problem in Indonesia is there is no such accreditation institution in this country. However, every study program still can keep doing their activities based on international standards although they have not been able yet to take care of accreditation registration officially. One of important principal in international level is continuous improvement as Dr. Ayu explained in her paper.

Continuous improvement designed by Dr. Ayu and related lecturers consisted of three main flows. First, create team that will formulate and control the implementation of the improvement. Second, implement the procedures as needed. Third, consistently implement the improvement. Consistency is the main point that really important for continuous improvement.

Moreover, Dr. Ayu also paid attention about the students' roles in the community. Dr. Ayu supported student activities, either academic or non-academic, for the benefit of wider community. In one of Informatics Engineering courses, that is Software Project, students divided into several team and asked to design applicative programs. Recently, Informatics Engineering students has successfully designed many programs to support the city government of Bandung. These programs help government to solve problems, such as human resources, city assets, city parks, and FAQ.
