ITB Gets Two Titles for Best Business School and Best University for Technology from Global Brands Magazine Awards

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Branding is the effort to introduce a product, whether it is goods or services from companies/industries. Branding is taken as a must for companies in order to gain bigger market trust. This has to be done because brand becomes consumer’s deciding factor when buying a product/service

A brand usually takes a long time to get known. It could give information about the product’s quality, prestige, and safety. Hence, no wonder people tend to choose branded products over unbranded ones. Brand diminishes hesitation over product’s quality, and the company has to keep the image and trust.

Global Brands Magazine (GBM) is an international marketing magazine that reviews many brands in food, lifestyle, finance, and technology. Headquartered in England, the magazine held an award every year.

In 2017, GBM held Global Brands Awards that released the list of universities in the world which are perceived as the best on education in Education Awards. ITB gets two titles. School of Business and Management of ITB won Best Business School in Indonesia, and Institut Teknologi Bandung as Best University for Technology.

Besides awardees in education, GBM also release awardees in airlines, banking and finances, forex, health services, hotels, insurances, investment, real estates, retails, and technology. The score is based on services, performance, and branding. The score is done by independent external research agency that collects data from available sources and research the nomination according to different criteria.
