SBM ITB Received Kellog Innovation Network Award 2013

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id- It is a great accomplishment for School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB to be the first academic institution to receive the Kellog Innovation Network Award. This crowning ceremony was Kellog Innovation Network (KIN) ASEAN Forum 2013 on Wednesday (11/12/13), located at the main campus of Markplus, Philip Kotler Theatre, Jakarta. In this awarding night, Robert C. Wolcott as the founder and Executive Director of KIN handed the award to the Dean of SBM ITB, Prof. Sudarso Kaderi Wiryono.
SBM ITB received KIN Award for its feat to develop an Entrepreneurship Major with an innovative approach. "In the upcoming year, we hope to colaborate with USM Malaysia and AIM Phillipines for an MBA International Program, similar to double degree program, with Aalto University. We proudly say that this award was as the sweetest gift for SBM 10th anniversary," claimed Sudarso after receiving the award.
KIN ASEAN Forum 2013 raised the topic of " The Future of Innovation Toward ASEAN 2015". The topic was presented by many notable speakers, such as Kuntoro Mangkusubroto (Head of President's Work Force for Development Control and Surveillance), Gita Wirjawan (Minister of Trade RI), and Kermawan Kertajaya (Markplus). Also, there were an international speakers, like Peter Weidner (BP-Castrol Regional), Gan Soon Kita (Castrol Indonesia), Associate Professor from Nanyang Technological University, Hooi Den Huan and a bunch of Chief Marketing Officer from various companies.
On innovation panel, SBM ITB together with SolBridge International School of Business Woosong University discussed about innovative strategy in education. Sherman Lam from Hongkong Institute of Marketing acted as moderator for this panel. As the representative from SBM ITB, Dr. Yos Sunitiyoso shared about the challenge in building a strong business university with technology background. Also, he recounted about the history of MBA program in SBM ITB from 1991. He closed his speech with the story behind the recent construction of SBM Campus in Jakarta. "The Jakarta campus was built based on the concept of a downtown that focused on infrastructure infrastructure, world class education, and brilliant output," said Yos
