Technology, Science, and Art Innovation at the Ganesha Student Innovation Summit 2023

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Ganesha Student Innovation Summit (GSIS) exhibition was successfully held at Soemardja Gallery, ITB Ganesha Campus, from September 21-23, 2023. This event showcased a remarkable collaboration between technology, science, social, art, and culture.
GSIS is an annual event initiated by a student organization commonly known as the Keluarga Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) to serve as a platform for students from various schools and universities in Indonesia to explore and expand their creative ideas and innovations across various fields. The exhibition featured approximately 30 artworks created by students from ITB, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), and the local community.
The theme of GSIS 2023 was “Futurizing Sustainability: Collaborative Revolution.” It emphasized multidisciplinary collaboration among technology, business, and art as a means to optimize strategic and sustainable innovations through an inclusive, creative, advocacy-based process.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore a diverse range of exhibitions showcasing contemporary technology, visually inspiring art, innovative business concepts, and social projects that promote sustainability. The event was aimed to make a meaningful contribution towards the local community in order to achieve sustainable development goals.
“Through art and technology, we envision a world where sustainability is not just a word but a shared value and a driving force behind the global movement for change.” Felizha, one of the GSIS Exhibition 2023 committee members, said.
Other than the exhibition, GSIS also featured an Innovation Competition, Business Case Competition, and the Grand Summit as its peak event. Each of these events aimed to catalyze collaboration and innovation among Indonesian students so they can contribute positively to their homeland and the world.
GSIS Exhibition 2023 received a warm response from students, lecturers, researchers, and the local community. The event also garnered support from various companies, organizations, and stakeholders committed to foster innovation and creativity in Indonesia.
Amid an enthusiastic and inspirational atmosphere, GSIS 2023 served as an essential platform for the younger generation to showcase their talents, creativity, and dedication to a brighter and better future. The exhibition also offered an opportunity to gain exposure and further enhance the innovations that will continue pushing boundaries in the future.
