Tisna Sanjaya's Single Exhibition: "Ideocrazy: Rethinking the Regime of Etching"

JAKARTA, itb.ac.id - A well-known artist, which is also a Lecturer of FSRD ITB, Tisna Sanjaya held the single exhibition "Ideocrazy: Rethinking the Regime of Etching", in the National Gallery Jakarta Hall A and B, on December 18-31.

In this opportunity, Tisna showed 132 works that covered the graphic work made by 1986-2007, the work depicted, and the installation. In an article in Kompas, Ilham Khoiri interpreted two installation arts which was entitled "Survey Air" and "Cigondewah" that is being a critical of environmental damages resulting from the messed up development.

"In Tisna's works, the Islamic expression was very easy to be recognised as easy as knowing the attitude of Tisna, an artist who liked to be friendly,"said the curator of the exhibition, Jim Supangkat in the site of "Sahabat Gallery". Tisna Sanjaya received various appreciations, being a guest artist in various international art studios, having single exhibition in many gallery, biennale, and the international museum.

Apart from being a visual artist, Tisna Sanjaya, was also active in art showed. In his daily, he join in the community of the ball group of PS Gang Mr Enii near the Ledeng Terminal, Bandung. Moreover, Tisna, who is a student of Institut Seni Indonesia ISI Jogjakarta, is also taking a role in the Kabayan Nyintreuk broadcast in Bandung local television.
