The Third ITB Graduation 2010/2011: 1541 Graduates Prepared to Contribute to National Development

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Once again ITB held a graduation ceremony which was conducted on Friday and Saturday (15/07/11 - 16/07/11) at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga). Not less than 1541 graduates consist of 960 bachelor degree graduates, 567 master degree graduates, and 14 doctor degree graduates have the opportunity to experience this unforgettable ceremony. Prof. Akhmaloka as the rector opened the ceremony and led the new alumnus oath that; a promise to serve the nation with all the science and knowledge possessed by the alumnis for the betterment, prosperity, humanity, and world tranquility.
Once the oath has been recited, Prof. Akhmaloka begins the inauguration by saying, "On this monumental day, all of you have accomplished all the academic and administration requirements to be known as an alumnus." The rector then delivers his gratitude to academic and non-academic staff for the dedication on producing the alumnis. He also did not forget to notice the new alumnus to contribute for Indonesia's development and glory.

371 have been titled Cumlaude

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Charmadi Machmub said there are 371 graduates with an astonishing achievement and will be titled Judicium Cumlaude. It is granted to to 250 graduates from bachelor degree, 116 graduates from master degree, and 5 graduates from doctorate degree.

At the end of the ceremony, Charmadi announced their impression about winning the Yudisium Cumlaude title and their experience on studying at ITB. One of them was Edisti Nurfatia, a graduate from Oceanography major whom formerly was a student at SMA Negeri 8 Bandung. He said, "Those struggle since elementary, junior and high school are paid beautifully on this graduation day." Edisti Nurfatia was a master degree graduate from a fast track program - a program with the education for bachelor and master degree were accomplished on a 5-year period.

Arya Bayu Pangestu, a graduate from School of Business and Management (SBM), has a different impression that he frankly feels ITB has a very conducive environment and has a supportive facility for studying.
