Aesthetics and Sciences of Art Research Group is a research group that covers theoretical art study to interpret and elucidate phenomenon that happens in the world of art. The study includes History of Art, Aesthetics, Art Critique, Anthropology of Art, Sociology of Art, Psychology of Art, Philosophy of Art, Art Management, also new study fields such as Semiotics and Hermeneutics.
While Visual Art Research Group concerns with artist’s profession, Aesthetics and Sciences of Art Research Group concerns with other professions such as art critic, art historian, curator, educator, art manager, art work conservationist, and art therapist. Thus, Aesthetics and Sciences of Art Research Group does not only concerns with theoretical studies but also but also with other visual art phenomenon from various approach, such as gender theory and postcolonial theory.
