Water Resources Engineering Research Group focuses on the development of applied sciences that examine the development of water resources engineering which includes planning and designing hydraulic structure, planning and managing water resources, managing watershed, and studying coastals and swamps.
Water Resources Engineering Research Group’s scientific root is basically engineering that is used to control destructive force, as well as water utilization and conversion. Engineering is the application of science that is associated with the use of all natural or man-made resources (including all man-made equipment) in designing end products that benefit society. The group’s development, as well as its role in the future, is adjusted to the needs of society.
In Water Resources Engineering Research Group’s road map, the research is divided into two groups: basic engineering and advanced research. Basic engineering research does not require related basic research or previous research such as hydrology, river, hydraulic structure, groundwater, and coastal. Meanwhile, advanced research is conducted with their previous research such as rainfall runoff modeling, integrated sustainable development of lowland area, and integrated coastal protection system.
